American Idol Season 11: Scandal

Well for some reason, I knew scandal was right around the corner for American Idol. Lets just break this down:

So Jermaine Jones is invited back to see if he can get the public vote. He does and makes it into the Top 13. The Top 13 perform and Jermaine survives another week into the Top 12. Before the Top 12 can utter a note, TMZ reports a story about Jermaine falsifying about an estranged father wanting to come back into his life after he has reached quasi-fame with American Idol. So now Jermaine Jones is disqualified because after doing the research on "the father" story, his criminal past reared its ugly head.

So here is what I have to say about it:
American Idol
*This is just a ploy for bigger ratings on Wednesday
*I can not imagine that you would let someone with a violent criminal past get this far into the competition without any prior knowledge
*Putting this on national tv will only heighten the situation
*I wonder what the parents of the 15 and 16 year old competitors think since they now know that the show let their children spend a vast amount of time with a person who has violent assault charges against them.
*Wow
*Please don't bring back another contestant especially someone who just got voted off. Bring them back so they can sing on Wednesday and get voted out again on Thursday? It hurts worse the second time around. Besides I would love to see a girl win this season. 4 out of the 6 girls there could win this.

Jermaine Jones:
*Seriously????
*Are you an idiot wrapped in a moron???
*How do you willing know that you committed crimes and gave false names but continue to go on a national televised show without thinking that someone would find out down the road somewhere?
*Dude, you got warrants out on you and you go on national tv????
*Really???
*Wow

I have more to say but I am so tired that I can not formulate them articulately enough to write them. I have a feeling there will be a part 2 tomorrow.

The Voice 10: Top 10

My apologies for the tardiness of this post. Busy life on the road with Ball In The House. Anyway, here are my thoughts about our Top 10. As always, I will rank the performances from least favorite to favorite. Daniel Passino  - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing : Really??? This song??? If you were going to do something completely different, I would have been on board. Such a bad bar karaoke performance. I am not a fan of your vocal tone with this song. When you went to your falsetto, it was a big ole' ball of NOPE. You didn't even prep for it. Your runs were sloppy and out of tune. Cringe worthy during the latter part of the performance. Just no! Paxton Ingram - It's All Coming Back To Me : Something about his tone really bothers. It is too whiney and immature. Especially on songs like this. Family Profile #3: My Oldest Brother (1 of 8)

Reference Name: Vietnam Date Of Birth: 6/23/58 Favorite Memory: Spending the night at his house after I had graduated from college to talk about life and what to expect. My oldest brother was not really there when I was growing up. I don't know a whole lot about him but I do know that he served in the Vietnam war. There were moments where I believed that he was crazy. He was a little violent when I was in high school. I thought that the war may have something to do with that issue.
