American Idol Season Top 13 Studios
Well I am so happy that they go in the studio and record the entire song. One because it allows us to hear how they sound with studio work. Two it allows us to hear them do a whole song! Here is my ranking of the studios:
Colton Dixon: I love this song but it has to have feeling behind it. Your studio had a whiny quality to it. This was very boring and sleepy for me.
Heejun Han: Better than the live but still very boring with no character.
Shannon Magrane: Better than the live performance but still didn't feel grounded. I think that you have a lot of room for improvement. It felt a little too rehearsed for me.
Jeremy Rosado: Better than the live but still very blah. When it was over, I just didn't care.
Elise Testone: This should have been done on the big stage. You sounded confident even though I did not like the auto tune. This is a difficult song and you managed to give it your own spin.
Phillip Phillips: I liked this better than the stage version. Still not my favorite vocalist in the competition but it was an okay recording.
Joshua Ledet: Very good studio version. Nice and clean but you could still feel his emotion.
Jermaine Jones: Your tone melts the speakers! Wow you can definitely sing so well. The studio just enhances your silky quality. I am not a fan of the instrumental arrangement but I love your vocals.
Skylar Laine: I really like your country version of this song. Great translation of the song. I could totally hear this as one of your songs on your album.
Deandre Brackensick: Good job man!!! This sounded as if it were written for you!!! Awesome. It flowed smoothly. GREAT!!!
Hollie Cavanagh: YOU JUST SANG!!! This was a great vocal and it reminded of Whitney.
Jessica Sanchez: YESSS you have the most radio ready vocals in the competition. It had height and depth. Awesomely AMAZING!!!
Erika Van Pelt: Chills and great clean vocals. You dug deep inside and pulled this out!!!! I loved it a lot. Thank you!!!
