Zoanette Johnson - What's Love Got To Do With It: Ummm......okay.....hmmm....what did I just listen to???? I had the stank face but for a very different reason. I can not believe that this has actually happened. Oh man. That was extremely pain inducing.
Adriana Latonio - Stand Up For Love: Totally wrong song choice. This song was meant for a group. Destiny's Child couldn't even make it a hit so I wouldn't have expected an up and coming solo artist competing on a national TV show to make it one. I didn't feel a single connection to the song or to your performance. She is just not ready to hang with the big dogs.
Janelle Arthur - If I Can Dream: She is not living up to the hype for me. There was no phrasing or breath control. I found it pretty boring.
Teena Torres - Lost Lyrics: I actually loved the song choice. The lower register is great. I wish that she would stay there. When she gets into her upper register, it gets shrill and out of control. There were some messy runs and off notes but I kind of like her.
Breanna Steer - Flaws And All: Not sure about this song choice for you. You had a good vocal but it didn't go anywhere for me. It just stayed in one plane. I would love to see more depth to your vocals like last week.
Aubrey Cleland - Big Girls Don't Cry: Such a nice soothing voice. Not my favorite song choice. I think that you did a great job with the song. She just has it for me.
Amber Holcomb - I Believe In You And Me: NICE! Great vocals. Just clean and powerful. I loved that she just stood up there and SANG!! It felt effortless and she definitely came out of nowhere. Seriously great vocals. I just wanted more of Amber in the vocal. There were moments where it felt studied but it was really a great vocal!
Angie Miller - Never Gone: Wow. There is something about you that shoots an arrow right to my heart. You have this inner drive that makes your voice caress each and every feeling. I want to hear you sing EVERYTHING!!! This is almost as good as the original in Hollywood. Fantastic!!!
Kree Harrison - Stronger: YESSS!!! Seriously this girl has it. I want to hear more of her. The way that she hits those notes with such passion and conviction. Ugh..I just can't with her. She is really taking me to another level vocally.
Candice Glover - Ordinary People: Take me out of here. Just had so much finesse and care. The intricate vocal delivery killed me. Seriously you worked that song with so much professionalism. I love everything that you did with this performance.
Well clearly, the ladies want to own this competition. CANDICE, KREE, ANGIE, and AMBER should be locks for the girls. JANELLE will either get the final spot or be asked to do the inevitable wildcard round. And unfortunately ZOANETTE may sneak in there somehow. ADRIANA and TEENA are both out in my eyes. I almost feel that BREANNA and AUBREY are like the same style. It doesn't help that Nicki wants to put them in a group and that they went back to back tonight. I really hope that America gets it right this season! One of these females have to win this one. The guys are just way too weak as a whole.
