AMERICAN IDOL 12 VEGAS WEEK 2 GUYS

Well I really hope that these guys do a whole lot better than the guys from last week. It is beginning to look a lot like TPTB want to stack the deck for a female winner. But that plan ALWAYS backfires. Lets see how these guys stacked up.

Lazaro Arbos - Tonight I Wanna Cry: I wanted to LOVE this so much. But this was like a baby deer trying to walk after only being alive for 2 minutes. Just all over the place. Falling apart. Nothing was clear. Ugh. I want much better for you.

Gurpreet Singh - Nothing Ever Hurt Like You: I didn't know this song at all and you didn't help the cause. It was such a flat performance. Nothing was memorable. Why this song??? If you sing a song like this, you need to slay it with confidence and performance.

Mathenee Treco - Little Less Conversation: OHHH I HATE THIS SONG CHOICE. Then the way that you held some parts of the phrase and cut off early on the ends IRKED me to no end. I could totally hear you singing a Bruno Mars song and doing a whole lot better. And you tried to show your range but it came off very manic.

Josh Holiday - Original Song: This was not a bad song. The first part was very solid but got a little clunky during the bridge. The falsetto didn't seem solid enough to pass but at least you tried. I would say that for an original, you performed it very well. Don't know if it was memorable but it was good.

Nick Boddington - Say Something Now: I actually loved most of the things that you did here. You do have a really nice tone to your vocals. I did, however, hate the falsetto. That lower register of yours is awesome. Live there!

Cortez Shaw - Titanium: Nice vocal but it was going in and out for me. There were moments of brilliance and then moments of uncontrolled singing. I would try to reign it in and you would be a brilliant vocalist.

David Oliver Willis - Fever: Nice refreshing surprise. I liked it a lot. It had flavor and ease. Great job!

Burnell Taylor - This Time: I love the tone of your voice and this was a great song choice for you. I just need a little something under your vocals. Some depth to your singing. And please cut out the hand gestures. They were so distracting.

Bryant Tadeo - New York State Of Mind: You had me at "Some folks". Wow that nice mellow tone is AMAZING!!! You knew what to do with the phrasing. The key change was a little unsettled but man that was a great vocal.

Vincent Powell - Cause I Love You: Vocals YESSS!!!! You just went on and SANG!!!! I totally prefer you to Curtis. The tone of your voice is FANTASTIC. I can't even say anything more. Slayed it!

So I really hoped that VINCENT, BRYANT, BURNELL, DAVID, and CORTEZ advanced but unfortunately I didn't agree with the judges. BRYANT was so awesome and I can not understand how they passed him up. Seriously, the tone alone was enough to help him advance. DAVID had such this great feel about him and his performance was definitely enough to get him through. I can see why LAZARO went through. He has been a fan favorite since day 1. I am not quite sure as to why they put NICK through. I can't wait to see what these gentlemen do.
