THE VOICE: Blind Auditions

Well I am going to take my blogging to the next level!!! I am not only giving my take on American Idol. I giving The Voice a shot! I get asked "Whose team would you join?". Well I am such a Christina fan that she would be the obvious choice. If she didn't turn around for me, I would go Adam. I think that this show is such a great venture for many artist. So basically, I will name each contestant, even if they weren't chosen, and give my take on if I would have turned my chair for them.

*Sarah Potenza - Spunky, hardcore, and gave it her all - YES
*Lowell Oakley - Crooner but nothing really special to me - NO
*Rob Taylor - That tone was gorgeous!!! Can't even get into his falsetto! Crazy skills! - YES
*Ivonne Acero - Some tuning issues but I thought that she had a great timbre to her voice with great potential - YES
*Cody Wickline - Nice tone. I think that he has already peaked already. - NO
*Treeva Gibson - Interesting tone. Great sense of musicality - YES
*Mason Henderson - Voice was a bit too unsettled for me - NO
*Meghan Linsey - Totally owned it from start to finish - YES
*Joshua Davis - You can tell that he has a story to tell with his music - YES
*Bryce Sherlow - Nerves definitely got the best of her. Lots of tuning issues - NO
*Sawyer Fredericks - Lots of power behind his voice. Especially for being so young - YES

*Anthony Riley - Lots of showmanship. Voice was just okay for me but still a lot of potential - YES
*Gabriel Wolfchild - Something about his performance just overwhelmed me with passion, tears, and just overall greatness - YES
*Brooke Adee - Super nice tone. She totally knows what to do with her voice - YES
*Dylan Dunlap - Too much hard singing to me. Couldn't really understand what he was saying. Nothing ever settled vocally. Definitely needed to calm down - NO
*Tonya Boyd-Cannon - Nice voice. She showed so much more promise towards the end. I want more of that from the start - YES
*Joe Tolo - Nice tone to his voice. He made the song his own - YES
*Drew Parker - Just a little too karaoke for me. Nothing special or to stamp him as an artist - NO
*Mia Z - Liked her at spots but there were moments where I questioned the consistency of her voice. Overall good vocal - YES
*Blaze Johnson - Good vocals. I can see potential - YES
*Bryan Pierce - Very messy vocal. Nothing ever settled for me. Nerves got the best of him - NO
*Deanna Johnson - Very interesting tone. I loved it from beginning to end - YES

*Kelsie May - Confident and solid voice  - YES
*Kimberly Nichole - Spunk, vocals, and originality - YES
*Michael Leier - Very nice tone to his voice - YES
*Hannah Ellis - Nice voice but nothing stood out for me. I think that she has great stage presence - YES
*Mark Lum - Wasn't a fan of his tone - NO
*Sara Schulmann - I liked the power behind her voice - YES
*Sam King - Lackluster - NO
*Travis Ewing - That was such a sexy performance. That arrangement and your voice was a match made in heaven - YES
*Noelle Bybee - Nice tone but nothing special - NO
*Bren'nae DeBarge - Unique style - YES
*James McNeiece - Nice voice but nothing special - NO
*Sonic - I love her style but wasn't a fan of her vocals - NO
*Ella Khorov - Nice husky tone. Wrong song choice unfortunately - NO
*Jacob Rummell - Such a clear tone. Soothing - YES
*Barry Manniefield - Nice vocal. I am curious to see what happens next - NO
*Nicolette Mare - Potentially a good voice - NO
*Clinton Washington - Nice tone to his voice - YES
*Matt Snook - Nice power - YES
*India Carney - Bluesy. Confident. Those Runs. KILLED IT!!!! - YES

*Ashley Morgan - She just SANG. Loved her musical choices and she nailed them - YES
*Koryn Hawthorne - Those low notes! She sang with gusto - YES
*Lexa Davila - Rough start but finished strong. Runs were still a little sloppy - NO
*Josh Batsone - Regular voice - NO
*Katelyn Reed - Nice lower tone but nothing exciting - NO
*Ameera Delandro - Great tone with mature vocal ability - YES
*Bay Brooks - Nice style and vocals - YES
*Quincy Mumford - Lots of tuning issues. High notes seemed a little strained and forced - NO
*Breanna Yaegar - Voice needs a lot more time to mature - NO
*Jeremy Gaynor - Nice tone but I think that he could have given more to his performance - NO
*Jack Gregori - Great tone with a low register - YES
*Briar Jonnee - Beautiful tone and showed some artistic promise - YES
*Jess Gallo - Interesting vocal. I wish she that she had picked a better song - NO
*Brian Johnson - Nice soulful tone. Song choice fit him perfectly - YES
*Corey Kent White - Nice youthful tone. Waiting for that something special - NO

*Nathan Hermida - Simple performance. Nothing that grabbed me - NO
*Paul Pfau - Nice vocal consistency. Interesting style - YES
*Gaia Golden - Some under placed notes throughout. There were moments of good but not enough - NO
*Vance Smith - His runs were a little sloppy and his voice sounded very auto-tuned - NO
*Caitlin Caporale - Nice and clear runs. She was a beast throughout - YES
*Athena - Love the song choice. I thought this could have been great with your tone - YES
*Jennifer Chung - Nothing special - NO
*Ashley Prince - Felt like there was tension there - NO
*Hannah Kirby - Unusual way of singing. Kind of awkward. Not my cup of tea - NO

There you have my opinion on the Blinds! Now onto the BATTLES!!!!
