American Idol 15: Denver and Atlanta Auditions
Here we go!! We have come to the end of an era. The last season of American Idol. Very excited to see who will be crowned as the winner but more excited for the finale! I hope that it is like a 3 hour long show highlighted some of the best performances to ever grace that stage. But before we get there, we have to get to the auditions. My LEAST favorite part of the show. I don't really know why I don't like the auditions. I just don't lol. So this is how I write my blog for this portion of the season. I separate the contestants into 4 categories.
THE GOOD - obviously the contestants that blow me away or that have a lot of potential for growth in the season and get through to the next round
THE BAD - horrible singing and don't get through to the next round
THE WHY NOT - IMO, great singing and potential but don't go through to the next round
THE WHY - Not my cup of tea but somehow made it to the next round

THE GOOD
Michelle Marie - Wow! I am so so proud of her. I know her from a YouTube singing competition called Cree Ingles' YouTube Idol Search, which I am currently in. CHECK IT OUT! Subscribe to Cree's page...Cree Ingles and the FB fanpage.....Cree Ingles YouTube Idol Facebook Fanpage!! Sorry I digress. Back to the amazing audition from Michelle Marie! She exuded class and poise. I would have been screaming like a banshee lol. Her vocals were spot on and I can't wait to see where she goes on this AI journey! Congrats Michelle Marie!!!!!!!!
Lindita - She has an amazing voice! Now if she can reign it in a bit, she will be on top this season. She has the stage presence and vocal control. Can't wait to hear how she does!
Jeneve Rose Mitchell - I dig her! Different style and original. How will she fare in the hustle and bustle of the business? I am absolutely not sure but she is definitely worth a shot.
Sonika Vaid - So so beautiful. Wow. I was entranced by her vocals. Like from start to finish, just flawless and raw. I need to take it all the way.
Reanna Molinaro - Great solid tone but a little on the boring side. I am looking forward to seeing what she will do in future rounds.
Kory Wheeler - Great tone. I can see him making it pretty far if he finds his own style throughout the competition.
Laurel Wright - Such a calming voice. I loved her overall feel in the audition. Hopefully she maintains that freshness about her.
Joshua Wicker - I loved the want in his voice. Worked very well with the guitar. Fantastic musicality
Jordan Sasser - Sir was taking this song down! I was into it. All of the little nuances. Just great. But how uncomfortable....yikes....
Kerry Courney - Very interesting. I was with Harry. I was drawn in but yet frightened. Dark but with a hint of mystery and light.
Shelbie Z - I loved everything about her!! Tone, personality, vocal interpretation. Nice....please get to the top 12!
THE BAD
Joseph Kohlruss - Oh...wow....I have no words. He needs to get to a new vocal teacher right now. Way too cocky to not have the goods. SMH
Sylvia Lee Walker - Nope nope nope nope. Personality yes but the yodeling and the almost singing was pretty dreadful.
THE WHY NOT
Billy Bob Evett - He gets special recognition for unfair judge treatment. Unprofessional. JLo was laying on the table. Harry was in the corner. Keith was on the floor and SINGING ALONG with this poor guy's audition. I couldn't even hear Billy Bob over Keith so imagine my shock when he didn't get through. SERIOUSLY????? Maybe he wasn't the best singer but please have some couth about you, Judges.
Alex Sasser - She had a pretty and gentle voice. Yes it was light but it still had character. I think that she should have done it sans ukulele.
THE WHY
Josiah Siska - While I can appreciate the vocals, I just don't see where he can go in this competition. Nicer tone than expected but I feel him getting stuck in a style and not knowing what to do with himself when he has to stray from his norm.
Lee Jean - Not extremely impressed. I feel like if the judges say that a contestant has huge pitch problems that should be an automatic no.....?????? He will get swallowed up and I am totally not on board.
Shevonne Philidor - Nice voice but she will probably fall to the wayside if she does not step it up. I still feel like she needs a lot of work to really get there.
