American Idol 15: Little Rock and San Francisco Auditions
Next audition cities. I am so ready to just get to the main stage lol. Here is how I do audition blogs:
THE GOOD - obviously the contestants that blow me away or that have a lot of potential for growth in the season and get through to the next round
THE BAD - horrible singing and don't get through to the next round
THE WHY NOT - IMO, great singing and potential but don't go through to the next round
THE WHY - Not my cup of tea but somehow made it to the next round
Let's get started
THE GOOD
Cameron Richard - Nice tone. There was a longing in his vocal style that was quite good. Hoping to see him blossom.
Daniel Farmer - Super clean vocals with lots of charisma. I just want him to tone it down a couple of notches. Once he figures out what he can really do when he reigns it in, he could definitely be top 12.
La'Porsha Renae - Great vocal tone. Maybe a little too excessive on the runs but once she learns to enjoy the essence of the voice without the embellishments, she will make it all the way to the top.
Trent Harmon - Vocals were nice. The vibrato was unnecessary. I am sure that he can control that. Facial expressions were also unnecessary. Hopefully he can grow into his own because he could go very far.
Brook Sample - Nice girl. Nice soothing tone. But yes, she needs to take herself a lot more seriously. Focus will get her very far!
Olivia Rox - She has the musicality and emotion of a pro! Yea I need her in the Top 12 right now. I want to hear a lot more from her.
Ameet Kanon - Sultry tone with little inflections towards the end. I am digging it. Now she just needs to show her personality.
Kayla Mickelsen - I love that she seemed to know her artistry and committed to it.
Melanie Trerce - Soothing vocals I was emotionally invested from note one. Wow. I can't wait to see what happens in the next rounds.
Malie Delgado - Nice personality. I think that will get her further than her vocals. Vocally, she is pretty good but she could grow more.
Brandyn Burnette - Beautiful voice attached with emotion. Love that he writes originals.
Tristan McIntosh - Nice vocals. She could use some finesse. Definitely lots of potential. Looking forward to the next stages. AND DANG IT...did they really have to make me cry like that.
THE BAD
Maddie McAllister - While she wasn't horrible, she did come across very immature vocally and did not connect at all.
Sarah Hayes - Ummm....yea...over her with personality and vocals
THE WHY NOT
I got nothing....
THE WHY
Dalton Rapattoni - I was underwhelmed by his vocals. He did not wow at any moment. The song choice was kind of predictable. I hated that the judges were so smitten by his song choice. I don't know. He just didn't do it for me in all aspects.
Jessica Clark - Maybe the little snippet didn't show enough but it was very meh to me. She didn't seem committed to it all of the way.
Krysti Jewel - Too much. The key was way too high. There were iffy runs and choices throughout. But really, the key was WAY TOO HIGH
Halfway through the auditions!
Until next time......
