American Idol 15: Auditions #5

Episode 5. Getting more and more antsy for the last season to really kick off.

In case you haven't checked out my blog before, here is how I write about the audition episodes:

THE GOOD - obviously the contestants that blow me away or that have a lot of potential for growth in the season and get through to the next round

THE BAD - horrible singing and don't get through to the next round

THE WHY NOT - IMO, great singing and potential but don't go through to the next round

THE WHY - Not my cup of tea but somehow made it to the next round

Let's get started

THE GOOD

Miranda "Poh" Scott - Way better than her sister IMO. Yes definitely a sense of abandon to her vocals and performance. I am expecting great things from her.

Amelia Eisenhauer - Her voice is golden! That rasp. That emotion. Loved everything about the audition.

Joy Dove - Boisterous energy and it came through in her vocals. I am interested to see what comes up for her.

Mackenzie Bourg - I enjoyed his vocals. I worry about him sounding the same no matter the song.

Jenna Renae - Such an emotional singer. Her tone was mature and look forward to hearing more from her.

Emily Brooke - Solid sound. I do hear her growth. I am hoping that she can stay grounded with her pitch.

THE BAD

Andrew & Aaron Birdwell - Yea....their harmonies were off and they sang a very obscure song. I don't know if it would have been better if they auditioned individually.

Mario Bonds - While it was an okay audition, there was nothing that made me want to say yes. Heartbreaking audition but wasn't enough for me.

THE WHY NOT

Yep nothing again.......

THE WHY

Adam Lasher - Hey editing, maybe you can show the actual audition. Anyway, I did not hear enough to make me want to put him through. Nice voice though.

COME ON HOLLYWOOD WEEK!!!

Until next time.....
