The Voice 10: Top 11

Let's get right into it. As always, I will rank fhe performances from least favorite to favorite.

Nick Hagelin - Your Body Is A Wonderland: I was all over the place in spots. The falsetto wasn't as connected as it should be if you are going to use it. Your vocals are not grounded enough for me. I am trying to get on board but I just can't listen to it anymore. Weak vocals in all aspects. Yes, I am mean lol.

Owen Danoff - Fire And Rain: I love the storyteller aspect to his vocals but it came off as scared at times. You need to deliver an extremely focused and solid vocal to get more people on board to your performances. This song did not do you any favors unfortunately.

Daniel Passino - Time After Time: Something just never sits right for me whenever I watch him perform. Something is missing. The vocals are there if he focuses on the voice instead of the showmanship. I loved the arrangement. Just needed to take it to the next level by losing himself in the music.

Shalyah Fearing - The Climb: Not the best song choice for you. There were some sloppy moments throughout. It got away from you at times. I love your tone and can't wait to see you bounce back.

Adam Wakefield - Lights: Not my favorite song choice for you. I think that you had a hard time connecting to the song. It didn't have the same passion as your previous songs. I still believe in your talent with the right song. Rough night but your talent is huge.

Paxton Ingram - Break Every Chain: I wasn't crazy about the song choice at first. Then you performed it and it wasn't as bad as I thought that it would be. Was it stellar? No. Was it boring? No. Just good.

Mary Sarah - Johnny And June: I just love the tone of her voice. Definitely could have used a better song choice and ending. You are losing your way in this competition. Get back to where you were for the blind auditions.

Alisan Porter - Stay With Me Baby: I enjoy your stage presence. But now the vocals have to become more legit. When you go up into your upper register, it is getting a little screechy. Round out the sound more and look for variations. You tend to always go up there when you can easily stay in your lower register.

Bryan Bautista - Just The Way You Are: At first, it took me a minute to get into the arrangement. Very Love Boat-esque lol. Had a good amount of cheese but your falsetto was the winner here. It was clean and totally worked in that section. Some of the higher notes in your chest voice seemed a bit strained. I just enjoy your performances overall.

Laith Al-Saadi - Make It Rain: Yes indeed! This had the right amount of grit and heftiness that I would imagine for a song like this. Probably your best performance to date. Every time that you said "Make It Rain" it had passion and fire. I believed every word that you said.

Hannah Huston - I Can't Make You Love Me: I have heard this song hundreds of times. There was something very special about this performance. Her tone is gorgeous. She knows exactly what to do with her voice. She doesn't try to reach for notes that she can't deliver. She emotes with what she has. Fantastic performance.

Well there it is, folks. I was very underwhelmed by the performances tonight. Hannah, Laith, and Bryan shouldn't be going anywhere. My bottom 3 are Nick, Owen, and Daniel. Honestly, I would be okay if any of them went. But Nick just has to go. America.....NICK HAS TO GO!!!

Until next time......
